This course is intended to provide training primarily for workers at roadway construction sites. It provides training in the basic concepts and techniques of roadway construction safety. It offers an overview of the safety related work practices generally employed to provide a safe working environment for site employees and a safe driving environment for motorists. Where you are unsure of a particular course of action, you should safely secure your work area and report to your supervisor. To provide the student with introductory Level training concerning:

• the concepts of proper traffic controls at work sites
• to explain the various principles involved
• to illustrate and describe a number of typical applications
